Record attendance – new atmosphere and pure sunshine
Pure sunshine met pure trail running at the Madrisa Trail Klosters presented by LOWA — and on a scale never seen before. With 1,108 registered participants, the event set a new record. Compared to the previous year, this represents 23% growth, and compared to 2023, the number of participants has more than tripled.
Despite this rapid growth, the heart of the event remains unchanged — deeply rooted in the local community, family-oriented in character, and close to the runners. These values are central to the organisation and of great importance. Another key success factor is the start and finish area as well as the expo, located right on Bahnhofplatz in the centre of Klosters. This central setting creates short distances, connects the event with village life, and makes the experience even more intense for both participants and spectators. The atmosphere there is a meeting point, festival venue, and sporting hub all in one — an enhancement that goes far beyond the sporting aspect alone.

Madrisa Trail Klosters 2024: record participation, new routes, a new atmosphere, and pure sunshine
Pure sunshine meets pure trail running at the Madrisa Trail Klosters presented by LOWA, and all expectations were more than exceeded.
With 815 participants, registration numbers more than doubled. Together with the new start and finish area in the heart of Klosters on Bahnhofplatz, the event reached an entirely new dimension. Particularly pleasing was the growth in the established distances, as well as the strong participation of German athletes.
In the T54 elite race, the favourites lived up to expectations: Graubünden native Marco Wildhaber and Swiss triathlete Melanie Hauss claimed victory in the premier discipline. The local hero Nico Dalcolmo, together with Flurina Eichholzer, won the new and already highly sought-after T33 middle distance.

Madrisa Trail Klosters 2023: top performances in pure trail running and pure sunshine
The Madrisa Trail Klosters 2023 presented by LOWA more than lived up to its reputation as one of the most spectacular trail running competitions. In high temperatures and with a trail percentage of over 90%, the stunning mountain scenery of Graubünden set the stage for an extreme challenge. On the T54, with its 4,000 metres of elevation gain, runners were pushed to their limits. In the end, the Swiss athletes Stephan Zimmermann and Anne-Catherine Rigort claimed victory.
On the T24, however, it was a German double: Fabian Gering of the ASICS Frontrunners and Nadine Hüberl took the wins.
